Apply Adjustments

The Apply Adjustments feature lets you "adjust" (apply a credit to) the balance of an invoice. This feature can be found on the Accounts Receivable (A/R) screen. To make an adjustment, go to the grid located on the A/R screen for the appropriate client and click on the invoice (I) you wish to make an adjustment to, then right click and select Adjust from the menu box. This will open the Apply Adjustment window.


The Apply Adjustment window contains the following fields and buttons:

Client: This is the client that is getting the adjustment.

Client #: The client's corresponding client number.

Invoice: The invoice to which the adjustment is being made.

Balance: The unpaid balance for the job.

Date: The date of the adjustment. This will default to the current date but can be changed to another date.

Amount: Enter the amount of the adjustment here.

Reason: From the dropdown list, you must choose a reason for the adjustment. The list was set up and can be edited at Adjustment reasons under Miscellaneous defaults.

Accept: Use this button to apply the adjustment.

Cancel: This button allows you to exit the Apply Adjustment screen without making any changes
