Internet/Fax Defaults

To set up and edit your Internet/Fax defaults, go to Maintenance -> Defaults on the top menu. The @Quote Plus Defaults window will open up. Click on the Internet/Fax tab.

Use the Internet/Fax tab to set up and edit information related to e-mailing and faxing.

The E-Mail Settings area of the screen relates to the e-mailing of reports, proposals, work orders and invoices. It contains the following fields:

SMTP:	Enter the name of the server for outgoing messages here. If you are unsure what this is, you may wish to contact your system administrator, internet service provider or HERO Data Services representative for this information.
Timeout:	[030304] This is the internal setting for @Quote Plus 32 when talking to the mail server. Set this value to 10000. This number should not be changed unless otherwise instructed by a HERO Data Services representative.
A/R Reply:	You can enter an alternative e-mail address in this field if you wish the replies to the invoices and statements you e-mail to be sent to an address other than your default e-mail address. This might be done if, for example, one person sends out the invoices and statements while another person handles the responses.
Proposal Reply:	Similar to A/R Reply, above, you can enter an alternative e-mail address for proposal replies here.
Email Message:	You can enter a message here that will appear in the body of your e-mail.

AutoAupdate Settings relates to the @Quote Plus 32 auto update feature. It contains the following fields:

User ID:	This information will be provided by your HERO Data Services representative.
Password:	This information will be provided by your HERO Data Services representative.

Map Start Address is the start address that will be used by the driving directions feature when getting maps and directions to your job sites. Note that if you leave this area blank, your company address will be the start address. The Map Start Address area contains the following fields:

Street:	Enter the street address here.
C/S/Z:	Enter the city, state and zip code.

The Fax Settings area of the screen relates to the faxing of reports, proposals, work orders and invoices. It contains the following fields:

Fax Message:

You can enter a message here that will appear on the default fax cover page.

When setup is complete, click Close to save changes and exit.
