Job Defaults
To setup and edit Job defaults go to Maintenance -> Defaults on the top menu. The @Quote Plus Defaults window will open up. Click on the Job tab.
Use the Job tab to set up and edit the following information:

Copy Client Address: |
To simplify entering job address information, this option will tell @Quote Plus 32 to automatically copy in the client's address information onto the job when those fields are left blank on the Job screen.

Show Jobs by: |
Tells @Quote Plus 32 whether to list the Job object by Name or by Addr1.

Commissions by: |
Tells @Quote Plus 32 whether to calculate commissions by Job or by Phase. See the Commissions by Job and the Commissions by Phase reports for additional information on paying commissions as well as the salespeople screen for information on additional commission options.

[030306] From the dropdown, select the method you wish to use to calculate the square feet:
- Amt Req: Choose this method if you want to enter the total amount required for the sequence.
- Cavities: Choose this method if you would like @Quote Plus 32 to calculate the amount required based upon the number of cavities and length that you enter.
- W x L: This method is similar to the Cavities method; however, here you enter width and length.

Sales Categories: |
Sales Categories are used simply to categorize jobs on reports. For example, insulation jobs could be categorized as blow-in or batts. Use this table to edit your list of Sales Categories. As with other tables in @Quote Plus 32, you can add new records by selecting the last row and pressing the down arrow (↓) key on the keyboard. Type your addition in the new row. Remember,you must use the up arrow (↑) key to save your changes. To delete an entry, select it and click the Delete button. The dropdown list on the Job screen will be refreshed as soon as you click the Close button.

Job Types: |
Use this table to enter all the necessary Job Types, and if you are exporting to a third-party package such as MAS90, their Sale Account name or code.
To add a new entry, simply click on the last row and press the down arrow (↓) key on your keyboard, adding a new row. You can edit any entry by clicking on it and simply typing over it. To delete an entry, click on it and click Delete.
The Commission Rates button brings up a Configure commission rates for [Job Types] window in which you can set the commission rates at various profit levels for each of your job types. For example, if you are on "Retrofit" when you click on the Commission Rates button, the data on the Configure window that opens up will correspond to that Job Type .
Use the Add button to add new profit levels/rates. Use the Delete button to delete profit levels and their corresponding commission rate. When you are finished editing the Commission rate list, click Close to return to the Job Defaults window.

Click Close to save changes and exit the Defaults window.
