Proposals

@Quote Plus 32 allows you to create proposals for potential clients.

To access proposals, simply click on File from the top menu, then Print, then Proposal. You can also access proposals by using the F2 "hot" key.

Next, you will be prompted with a Retrieve screen. If desired, you can use the Retrieve screen to select a range of jobs to print proposals for. If you leave the Retrieve screen blank, @Quote Plus 32 will only print a proposal for the current job, in which case you will be prompted to select which phases you wish to print the proposal for. To select multiple phases, hold down the Ctrl key on the keyboard while clicking the desired phases.

The phases and sequences will print on the proposal in the order they were arranged on the Phase screen. Optional sequences will appear below each phase for which they are associated. A small underline will appear beside each optional item so the client can check off or initial desired options.

If Qty on Invoice has been checked for the client, the proposal will be printed with the quantity of material specified for each sequence.

Note that calculated Phase Totals are rounded up to the nearest whole dollar if this option is turned on in Inventory defaults, otherwise exact change will be displayed. If a manual total for the phase was input in the Override field on the Phase screen, then that amount is used instead.

Any items designated as hidden, either on the Phase screen or the Inventory screen, do not appear on the printed proposal. Their totals are, however, still added into the Phase Total and the Total Price.

Proposals will contain the verbiage entered in the Verbiage field on the Proposal defaults tab as well as any terms entered in the Terms field. Note that verbiage will print directly above the phases and sequences, and terms will print below them.

Information on how to set up and edit the various defaults related to proposals can be found on the Proposal defaults tab.

Additionally, any language you added using the Special command will print on the top or bottom of your proposal, depending upon the selection you made at that time.

Once the proposal has been sent to the printer the first time, the Job Status will be changed to "Hold" on the Job screen.

See Printing for information on the Close, Print, Setup and Save buttons, Faxing for information on the Fax button, and E-mailing for information on the E-mail button.
